Why a 3 on 3 Tournament?
On June 23rd IMPACT GENERATION Philippines Team will be putting on a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to help raise funds for our mission trip coming up this July 11-25. So get your teams together and come out ready to play!!
Important Info:
-WHEN: Saturday, June 23rd
-WHERE: Calvary Chapel Downey (in the gym)
-AGE: High school and up (both guys and girls)
Rules
- Games are played at Calvary Chapel of Downey’s Basketball Gym (2 Half Court Games Simultaneously) Address: 12809 Woodruff Ave. Downey, CA, 90242 (West side of parking lot – look for basketball tournament signs)
- There is absolutely no: fighting, cursing, arguing w/the referees. Violation of any of these rules will result in automatic elimination from the tournament.
- There will be a “seeding round” before the actual tournament begins. After the “seeding round” is complete the bracket will be assembled by pairing up a “winning” team with a “losing team” for the first round of the tournament.
- Points are counted as “2′s”(beyond the 3 point line) and “1′s”. For the “seeding round”, the game is played until a team goes to “7″, but the tournament games go up to “13″, and the championship game goes to “15″.
- Games are played as “loser outs”. Meaning that after a team scores the OTHER team will inbound the ball.
- Referees will oversee each game. There will also be “Foul Counters”.
- Every game there will be “foul counters”. Each player on the team is awarded “3″ fouls. Once the 4th foul is reached, the fouled player will be awarded a free throw shot and possession of the ball. Free throws are counted as “1″ point. (This rule helps with the speed of the game and limits the possibility of injuries towards the end of close games)
- Guests are free to enjoy the tournament in our bleachers, but there is no food/drink allowed in the gym (except water).

Registration:
-Registration fee: $15/player
On Tourney Day:
-Team registration will start @ 9:30am (you will turn in money and sign waiver form)
-Tournament will start @ 10am
