Elijah’s Complaint
Good Morning Everyone,
I wanted to share a scripture that I have been studying. It’s found in the first book of Kings. This scripture takes place right after Elijah calls down fire from heaven. Right after the Lord did such a great miracle in his life, speaking so loud and clear.
| So Elijah said, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.” |
This verse reminds me of so many times that I have dropped the ball. Right after the Lord does something big in my life, or He speaks so loud and clear I begin to panic. Elijah was so concerned with his little world and with everything happening around him, that he forgot all that the Lord had done. As I look at all that is going on around me I tend to easily panic and lose focus of Who is in control. I like to have things under control, but the Lord is showing me that He knows what He is doing. We can learn so much from these Old Testament Scriptures if you just take the time to read your Bible and pray, every single day!

That is an awsome word and encuragment. God is so good as we have actually been looking at 1 Kings 19 in first service.

AMEN - God has so much for us and sooo many promises but we need to know what they are and we can only find that out by reading his love letter to us. The Bible - Awesome devotion. Do more.
