There are many ways to get involved in our Women’s ministry. Below is a list of ministries for women to come and be blessed. Hope to see you there!
Beauty for Ashes
Beauty for Ashes Ministry is a confidential 11-week Bible Study designed to minister to women who have been wounded by abortion. By focusing on scripture, we help lead you through the process of restoration and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
The experience of a pregnancy loss through abortion may be far in your past, but the memories and reminders often remain. You are not alone in your feelings. The good news is those feelings don’t have to go on forever. We would like to invite you to join us in taking the first step towards healing.
We will meet on Saturday mornings for 11 consecutive weeks and go through the workbook “Forgiven and Set Free” by Linda Cochrane. Together we will look to God’s word for truth, forgiveness, and healing.
THE NEXT 11 WEEK SERIES WILL BEGIN SATURDAY, February 8, 2013 @ 9:00am in the Prayer Room (located near the main sanctuary.)

Feathering the Nest
Feathering the Nest is a ministry to encourage, guide and gear up all mothers for the call set before them in every season of life.
Moms, let’s get together for Food, Fellowship, & Encouragement Bring a breakfast item for our brunch potluck Nursery from infant to 5 yrs. and home school class offered 9:15am-11:00am in the Fellowship Hall This is all FREE!

Food 4 Funerals

Light Out of Darkness
Our Light Out of Darkness ministry is a “Grief Support Group” for Loss Due to Suicide. A ministry of Calvary Chapel Downey, California. For more information contact Lorena Knott at (562) 712-6405.
This 13-week session meets Thursdays at Calvary Chapel of Downey, 12808 Woodruff Avenue, Downey, CA 90242. We meet in the main church building, Room 120 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Please join at any point in our study do not wait for it to start up again to register. Although the 13-week sessions do tie together, each week the topic covered is meaningful in itself.

Prayer Force

Strength by Faith
A support group for women dealing with cancer. Every 3rd Friday in the BCCR at 7pm.
V.O.I.C.E. (Victorious Over-comers In Christ Everyday)
This is a discipleship group for survivors of incest, rape, emotional, and physical abuse. Tuesday Nights at 7pm meet in the Fellowship Hall with the New Hope Ministry.
Warmth of Love
Knitters and crocheters gather Tuesdays at 7pm in Room 119. All items bless Crossroads & Convalescent Ministries.
Women's Prayer Meeting
Is a gathering of ladies who intercede in prayer for the needs of the body of Christ as a whole and specific prayer needs for our church. Meets every Friday morning at 9:30am in the BCCR.
Woman 2 Woman - Titus 2
A one-on-one discipleship ministry for women of all ages modeling the mandate given in Titus 2:3-5.
Teach the older women…then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

Sign up to be discipled one hour a week for 12 weeks by a Christian woman who has been in your shoes and by God’s grace has made it through.
Training classes are also available to equip the ‘older woman’ to disciple others.
Sign-up at one of 3 Kick Offs held each year in March, July, and November.

Widow’s Might
Widow’s Might ministry is to strengthen and come along side women who have experienced the death of their spouse. The desire is to encourage them in their walks with the Lord, to promote fellowship with others who have experienced loss and arm them with the tools they will need to help them embrace life with hope, promise and vitality.
Meets the 3rd Saturday of each month in the BCCR at 10am.
