Who Am I?
“Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and prayed, “Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?” 1 Chronicles 17:16
Have you ever taken a moment where you stopped and just thought of everything that God has blessed you with? Have you ever considered everything He has got you through or just thought about His grace in your life? Have you ever really considered the promises God has specifically given to you? Have you ever been blown away at the fact that as you are reading the Word, the Creator of time and space is speaking directly to you? If you have, then you would totally have the same response as king David had in this passage of scripture, “who am I?”
Honestly, in a time where the world is more interested in complaining about what we don’t have, I encourage the body of Christ to consider everything God has given us and be thankful. If we all took time to just thank our Lord daily for what He has done, we truly would be a happy people.
Something practical to do in your prayer life, instead of filling the time with petitions and requests, thank the Lord for 5 minutes. Thank Him for all He has done, all He is doing and all He is going to do before we even ask of anything. You will see that 5 minutes isn’t long enough to thank Him for all that He has done. We are His sons and daughters and He loves and cares for us. His grace is sufficient today and His mercy is new. Today He will be the lifter of your head and renew your soul. He is for you and He does not condemn you.
God bless you and may we be ever grateful to our amazing Jesus. Amen.
