Never Be Moved
But he honors those who fear the LORD; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. - Psalm 15:4-5
There is so much out there today that seeks to break down basic faith and the belief in God. So many actors and singers who are interviewed on talk shows and on radio who have no trouble poking fun at the Lord and belittling Christians. Their self-confidence and humor lull their followers into the belief that they know what they’re talking about all the while so many are falling apart in their personal lives.
This is part of Satan’s systematic dismantling of God. Using modern day demigods to foster doubt in the hearts of people who gullibly worship them. But here’s the real deal. In the real world it is the Christian that is enduring and holding it together. The true Bible believing righteous Christian is not only able to stand but is enduring the trials of this world in the greatest of ways, demonstrating an ability to not only overcome their trials but to use them to later help others; Living lives free from regret and leading households free from the bondage of sin and the death it brings.
All these attributes spelled out for us here in Psalm 15. These ways of living, not only have an eternal reward but one that can be felt and enjoyed today. It says here that those who walk in these ways, the ways of God, “will never be moved.”
You see God is telling us that if we seek this type of character in this life we will not be swept away by this world and its trials that we all will face. We will stand firm and live a life that enjoys His blessings and His peace.
