“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16
The days that we live in today are truly evil, that is very clear. As a Christian, this means that we need to live carefully. It is the wise that hears and increases in learning (Prov 1:5), restrains his lips (Prov 10:19), heeds counsel (Prov 12:15), turns away wrath (Prov 29:8), departs from evil (Prov 14:16), is discerning (Prov 16:21), leans not on his own understanding (Prov 3:5), brings healing with words (Prov 12:18), and wins souls (Prov 11:30). These are a few of the many qualities a wise person will exhibit. It is so crucial that we walk wisely, looking for opportunities to redeem the time.
“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” (Rom 13:11)
We must be awake and alert, ready to serve the Lord. We have one life to give, let us do all we can in it to serve Him. Pastor Jace Amperse
