Remember Who You Are
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
Often times we wake up and immediately the lies of this world, the enemy, and ourselves hit us. We are filled with accusations of what we are not. This defines our days, defines our actions, our attitudes, and our interactions with others. It’s no wonder we are rarely ready to share Jesus.
Paul here is reminding us of who we are. We are alive, by His grace. Yesterday’s mistakes do not define our today. They are washed away by the blood of Jesus. Your day today started with a promise and a gift. It’s called mercy. I want you to practice something. Remind yourselves of who God made you today. He made you alive, He made you a royal priesthood, He made you beautiful, wonderful, He made you His. And you are loved by Him. Strengthen yourself in the Lord and drown out the lies of the enemy by flooding your mind with God’s truths about yourself.
If you find yourself in a place where you feel worthless, accused, and cast down, remember the Lord and that you are a product of grace. God bless you all.
