DO YOUR BEST AND COMMIT THE REST

‍ Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain." -Psalm 127:1

Unless we commit our work to the Lord, or invite him into the situation, all our efforts will be for nothing. There are two truths in this verse. The first is that we are responsible to make an effort. If we don't begin to build, nothing will get done. The second is that if we begin a work and don't acknowledge God to ask for his help or blessing, it will lack any spiritual significance.

Jesus said, "Apart from Me, you can do nothing." When we give all our situations to the Lord, we give him all the glory and can confidently say, "Look at all the Lord has done". Do we want our daily actions to have eternal depth, or are we okay with empty efforts? Then remember this phrase: Do your best and commit the rest.
